FAQ
Q: How many players are allowed on a team?
A: Each team is allowed up to 4 players. |
|
Q: Can I play on more than one team?
A: No, players may not appear on more than one roster. Players
violating this rule may be disqualified from playing in the tournament. |
|
Q: What will I need to bring with me to registration at the tournament?
A: Each player must bring I.D. to the tournament. For players under 16,
a birth certificate is the recommended form of I.D. Either the original
birth certificate or a copy is acceptable. For players over 16, a
driver’s license is the recommended form of I.D. If you don’t have
either of these, please bring something with a birthdate to prove your
age. This is the main information we’re looking for. |
|
Q: How do I get my team’s schedule?
A: Brackets will be posted on our website approximately 1 week before
the tournament. We also send out an email to all players when the
brackets are posted. Please note that brackets are no longer mailed to
the team captains. |
|
Q: What are the age divisions?
A: Youth divisions: 10 & under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18.
Adult divisions: 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40 & over. (Unless
there are not enough teams to do a “pure” 40 & over, in which case
we would have a 35 & over court.) |
|
Q: Who is invited to the National tournament?
A: Any team that placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or won Sportsmanship or the
Toilet Bowl in any tournament that season is invited to our National
Championship in October. |

Q: Do we allow coed teams?
A: We do allow coed teams. They will be placed on a male court unless
there are enough coed teams to form a coed court. Very rarely do we
have coed courts. |
|
Q: Do the younger kids play on a lower hoop?
A: No. All teams play on 10 foot hoops. The 10 & under boys,
however, play with a women’s-size basketball, as do all female teams. |
|
Q: How many games will my team play?
A: It ultimately depends on your team’s win-loss record and the size of
your bracket, but all teams participating in the Macker are guaranteed
3 games. |
|
Q: How big are the courts?
A: All of our courts are 35’ x 35’ |
